Another component that can be reset on Intel Macs to fix sound not working on MacBook is called SMC (system management controller): Turn off your Mac. Error message: "The system setting "Sound" could not be loaded."Under System Information, the Audio tab is empty.In the system console (Error Log) the following error appears continuously (once per second): (): Service exited due to SIGSEGV | sent by exc (): Service only ran for 0 seconds. Ideally, this will also fix any issues with volume not working on Mac. Click the magnifying glass in the top right corner of your screen, search Activity Monitor and select it from the search results. And when I open any application which can play sounds or use audio, the beachball appears for many seconds.I can not open the system setting "Sound".
